Up-to-Date Activities Reopening

As of May 28th, 2021: Businesses in the Great Smoky Mountain region are open. The mask mandate has been lifted, though face masks may be required at specific retailers. Each business can set their own regulations. We recommend contacting the business directly for any questions regarding safety measures and updates.

The city of Pigeon Forge, Gatlinburg and Sevierville are excited to open up attractions, restaurants, lodging and more! The Smoky Mountain area is back in the action! Businesses are expected to follow all guidelines and safety measures in accordance with the CDC. Masks are not required at outdoor activities, and may be required inside if not vaccinated. In most cases, masks are recommended and not required. Attractions continue to social distance when necessary and sanitize often. Some capacities are still limited.

General Business Guidelines

Visitors, guests, and locals can rest assured knowing that business guidelines have been set in order to keep everyone safe in the continued fight against COVID-19. Continuous illness screenings, disinfection practices and cleanliness of all workplaces will help to protect not only guests, but also the employees. The CDC still urges those who go out and are unvaccinated to wear protective face coverings and to check frequently with your local government to see updates on these guidelines.
