Ober Gatlinburg

This mountaintop of fun is perfect for any family looking for something to do on during Memorial Day weekend. From the Ski Mountain Coaster and the scenic ski lift to intricate maze and Freestyle Terrain Park, there’s so much to do at Ober Gatlinburg. To help you get to do everything, Ober Gatlinburg is offering extended hours this Memorial Day weekend:

Ripley’s Aquarium

Pearl Harbor Exhibit Ripleys Aquarium

The new Pearl Harbor exhibit at Ripley’s Aquarium provides an in-depth look into the Pearl Harbor attack.

 

The aquarium is always an awesome family destination, but two things make it perfect for Memorial Day weekend. First, Memorial Day weekend marks the return of the seasonal mermaid show! You’ll be enthralled by the underwater performance of the Ripley’s Aquarium mermaids, and the show only runs from Memorial Day weekend thru Labor Day weekend.

Ripley’s Aquarium is also the perfect place to visit this Memorial Day weekend because of its brand new Pearl Harbor Exhibit. This exhibit explores the attack on Pearl Harbor and its ramifications for the United States. Kids can learn history in the interactive gallery and exhibits – the whole family will feel transported back in time! You can take your picture with FDR, see what it was like in the depths of a ship, or peek through a submarine periscope.

 

 

Lodge Factory Store In-Store Demo

Aside from all the amazing deals offered at the store, as mentioned earlier in the article, the Lodge Factory Store does a little something special on the weekends for its customers. This Memorial Day weekend, the staff at the Sevierville Lodge Factory Store will be demoing its amazing cookware by cooking up delicious meals for its customers. Doc’s Magic Shop at The Island – Doc Waddell’s Milk Cow Magic Show

The famous Doc Waddell from Doc’s Magic Shop will be leading a free magic class on Market Street at The Island that will also act as a fundraiser for his nonprofit organization, Emerald City Ministries. Island visitors can enjoy the popular ‘Doc Waddell’s Milk Cow Magic Show’, where Doc will regale the crowd with his amazing magic. All the proceeds from donations will go to directly to Emerald City Ministries, which provides a desperately needed service to the local community by providing diapers and hygiene products to needy families in Gatlinburg, Pigeon Forge, and Sevier County.
