Get Stranded on The Island in Pigeon Forge!

Big news at The Island in Pigeon Forge for all you Parrott Heads out there! The long awaited opening of Jimmy Buffett’s Margaritaville will take place on June 16. Along with the tropical-themed restaurant, the new Margaritaville Island Hotel will open this coming October. The hotel is now taking reservations by calling 844-4FINSUP. So be sure to pack your tropical shirts so you can enjoy the laid-back lifestyle of Jimmy Buffett on your next trip to the Great Smoky Mountains!

The Island is also proud to announce the opening of other great stores such as the Village Idiot where you can shop for Tiki inspired home décor, clothing and accessories. There’s also Pepper Palace where you can choose from all things hot & spicy. Puzzled is a store full of games for the mind. And finally, there’s the ever popular Build-A-Bear Workshop where you can always find a furry friend or two.

There’s also the much anticipated opening of Paula Deen’s Family Restaurant which we are still waiting to hear of an exact opening date; but rest assured, that we’ll let you know just as soon as we find out! And we’re also anxiously awaiting the opening date for the Pigeon Forge location of Ole Smoky Moonshine too!

In the meantime, there’s a lot to explore at The Island! Be sure to check out the brand-new Island Show Fountains where you’ll relax in amazement at these state-of-the-art water dance filled with light and all choreographed to 14 musical pieces.

To take in a fantastic view of Pigeon Forge and the Great Smoky Mountains, be sure to hop on The Great Smoky Mountain Wheel that takes you 200 feet in the air for the bird’s eye view.

And if you’re hungry be sure to enjoy the yummy authentic German offerings from Poynor’s Pomme Frites. For a taste of the mountains visit Timberwood Grill. And for some sarcastic fun, the whole family will get a laugh at Dick’s Last Resort. For lovers of pizza there’s Mellow Mushroom.
