Getting Around Town

A common question most travelers to the area have is, how to avoid traffic on the parkway during these weekend events? Although golf carts are the best way to maneuver around the high traffic volume areas, there are a few requirements in places to operate these vehicles.

All golf carts being driven on sidewalks, parking lots, and on the parkways are required to have safety equipment such as:

  • Head, tail, stop, and front and rear turn signal lamps
  • Reflectors- red on each side near the rear and also one red on the back of the cart.
  • Parking brake
  • Driver’s side exterior mirror, and either an interior mirror or exterior mirror on passenger side
  • Non- plexiglass windshield
  • Seat belts
  • VIN number

Rentals are always available in Pigeon Forge for your convenience. All rentals are certified to be used on the parkway, sidewalks, parking lots, etc. If you’re looking for golf carts or scooter rentals be sure to check out these options!

Cart Rentals

Convenience and style make getting around Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg with ease during the busiest weekends in town. They offer low speed vehicles with 4 seat and 6 seat options from the best manufacturer in the business E-Z-Go.

Scooter Sales and Rentals

Reserve scooters, wheelchairs, and strollers for your smoky mountain travels. Be sure to note special event pricing for the upcoming car show dates:

Sep 6 – 8 and Sept 13 – 15

$75/Day or $18/Hr or 3- day rental for $200

Reservations for 3 day rentals only during special events (call 865-366-3306)

Online Reservation system will be unavailable from Sept 1-15

Reserve your scooters and strollers here

Avoid The Parkway!

The main parkway that runs straight through Pigeon Forge is always pretty busy and car show weekends amplify this times 100! A few tips would be to take an alternate route/ road to get to either Dollywood’s Splash Country or The LeConte Center for these events.  Rather than taking the parkway, try hopping on Teaster Lane and Veterans Boulevard. Both of these roads connect and run parallel to the parkway to save you from the many traffic lights and other drivers!

If you’re staying in a hotel close to the event location, try walking the parkway! The walk is flat and allows you to either walk along the parkway or take a detour to the greenway for more scenic views! Enjoy walking by all shops, attractions, and restaurants without getting stuck in all the heavy traffic!

A High-Spirited Adventure with Dolly Parton’s Stampede Dinner Attraction!

Wednesday, July 25th, 2018

As one of Pigeon Forge’s Top Rated Dinner Shows, TripAdvisor’s Certificate of Excellence Winners, AND The World’s Most Visited Attraction, Dolly Parton’s Stampede Dinner Attraction is always a highlight of any Smoky Mountain vacation!

Families come back season after season to enjoy this dinner attraction which features 32 beautiful horses and world class riders performing thrilling stunts and daring tricks. The Stampede showcases so many talents including comedic, musical, and athletic as well. Growing up nearby Pigeon Forge, Dolly Parton’s Stampede was a real treat for me and my family. I loved watching all the animals incorporated into the show, the audience participations, and of course…THE FOOD!

Be sure to arrive early! 50 minutes before every show you can enjoy hanging out in The Saloon dancing and listening to toe- tappin’ music by Mountain Ruckus! Sip on a cold Coca- Cola and other drinks in a souvenir boot mug that you can keep! (I love using these at home!) After dancing and refreshments, you can get a preview of the main stars of the show. You get the opportunity to walk around outdoor stables and meet some of the beautiful horses that you’ll see later on in the show! This is always one of my favorite aspects of the stampede! Most shows don’t always give the opportunity to meet and interact with the animals, but The Stampede goes above and beyond to make sure you and your family enjoy the experience!

After the Mountain Ruckus Pre- Show, you’ll head into the 35,000 sq. ft. arena where the action packed entertainment begins! As you find your seat you’ll be greeted by your server who will be wearing a color which represents your “team” or side for the show. Sides of the arena are divided into North and South which will be the sides competing in family- friendly events throughout the show. Be sure to cheer on your side as they compete in different challenges! Special effects, musical productions, and family friendly comedic adventures are incorporated into this one of a kind show- which really lives up to its reputation as a Top Rated Dinner Show in Pigeon Forge!

Who’s Hungry?

Dolly Parton’s Stampede doesn’t let you go hungry while experiencing all the adventure and action- packed fun. They offer a delicious four- course feast for you and family to enjoy… and devour!  So what’s included? In your feast you’ll get:

  • Delicious Tender Whole Rotisserie Chicken
  • Hickory Smoked Barbecued Pork Loin
  • Original Creamy Vegetable Soup
  • Heavenly Homemade Biscuit
  • Hot Buttered Corn on the Cob
  • Tasty Herb-Basted Potato
  • Stampede’s own Specialty Dessert- (my favorite is their yummy apple turnovers!)
  • Unlimited Coca-Cola®, tea or coffee

Is your mouth watering yet? Yeah, mine too! This is the most southern inspired meal I can think of and it DOES NOT disappoint!

I know you and your family will love the show! For those who have seen it, be sure to share your Dolly Parton’s Stampede Dinner attraction experience with us in the comments!
