Hiking

Whether it’s waterfalls, wildlife, or wonder you’re looking for, head into the Great Smoky Mountains National Park for a day of exploration! Be one of the millions of visitors into the park that hikes one of the thousands of trails to places like Clingman’s Dome, Abrams Falls, Chimney Tops, and more!

 

 

Moonshine Tastings

One thing Pigeon Forge isn’t lacking is…..MOONSHINE! You have any trouble finding retailers but be sure to hit up the shops with free tastings! Again, this won’t be too hard since most of them do. Ole Smoky Distillery is a great place to discover unique flavors and recipes that you won’t find anywhere else!

 

 

 

 

Visit The Old Mill

This eighteenth century historic Mill is on every tourists bucket list when visiting Pigeon Forge. And the coolest part? It is still an actively working mill used everyday! The Old Mill district is also a great hang out spot with so much to do. From coffee at Espresso Yourself, tasty treats from the Old Mill Candy Kitchen, and shopping at the Old Mill Pottery store, you’re in for a good time!

 

Cades Cove

Cades Cove is a perfect winter things to do in the Smokies

Explore the 11 mile motor loop within Cades cove to spot some pretty neat historical buildings! A working grist mill, three churches, barns, old log homes, and more which date back to the eighteenth and nineteenth centuries. Cades Cove is one of the best places to spot all kinds of different wildlife that the Smoky Mountains holds! The Island

With all the fun things to do, going to the Island is a day trip in itselfYou have spotted the giant ferris wheel that can be seen from all over Pigeon Forge! Of course there’s the beautiful fountains and flowers and scenery to admire, but also all the fun shops and occasional live entertainment! Best of all, The Island has FREE parking and no admission cost!

Walk the Greenway

Enjoy walking or biking along the Little Pigeon River. Even though it’s located close to the parkway, this 2 mile trail stretches parallel and is surrounded by trees and plants for a peaceful experience! You can find the trail at Patriot Park, Jake Thomas Road, and more!
