2019 Music in the Mountains Spring Parade Guide

Mark your calendars for May 3rd for the annual Music in the Mountains Spring Parade! The parade will feature Cal Ripken Jr. as the Grand Marshal for the second year! Be sure to head to the Parkway early for a great view before the parade begins at 6 pm.

This year’s performances will be like none other! While showcasing traditional music of the Smoky Mountains, you can also expect to see talents from the many theaters in Pigeon Forge. Additionally, performers from all over the region such as: Tennessee, Ohio, Kentucky, West Virginia, Georgia and more will be in this year’s parade! Something NEW coming to the parade are four giant cold- air balloons! Spotlighting children’s characters and of course a baseball to represent the Grand Marshal and Pigeon Forge’s Ripken Experience baseball facility. “It is an honor to serve as Grand Marshal for such an iconic and celebrated event. I look forward to welcoming the Pigeon Forge community and those visiting this beautiful city to the Music in the Mountains spring parade,” Ripken stated.

This year’s festivities will take place all weekend long as you can enjoy free bluegrass concerts located throughout the city on Friday and Saturday.
