With Father’s Day right around the corner, families travelling to Pigeon Forge are probably wanting to do a little something special for dad. Pigeon Forge is full of awesome places to visit and have fun, but these 5 places and or activities are exactly what dad needs to have the perfect Father’s Day.

1. Smoky Mountain Knife Works

One of the best places to take dad for Father’s Day is Smoky Mountain Knife Works, the largest knife store in the world! SMKW’s motto is “If it cuts we carry it,” and they aren’t lying. With a huge store to explore, they carry everything from pocket knives to swords. They also have all of the best knife brands in the world available for its customers.

You could spend an entire day checking out their knife collection, but don’t miss out on all the other cool things they have in store. They have plenty of apparel and hiking gear to browse. Also be sure to see their new guns and ammo section. Finally, Smoky Mountain Relics is where they offer plenty of really cool relics to their customers, like arrowheads and antique pirate locks!

2. Workshop Tools

Is your dad a craftsman, or does he just love a good power tool? Take him to Workshop Tools in Pigeon Forge for Father’s Day! This store was founded by owner Joe Swann as a refuge for men tired of the typical shopping experience. They jokingly refer to themselves as a “Daycare for Men,” and they’re right!

Dad could spend all day browsing the extensive collection of tools available or speaking with one of the passionate associates about their craft. The store is perfect for the serious woodworker and the weekend warrior, so dads of all experience levels will enjoy checking out this store.

3. Moon Pie General Store

Take dad back in time at the Moon Pie General Store. This store has so much more to offer than just an awesome selection of delicious Moon Pies! Inside the store you’ll find the store sectioned into mini-stores within, each with its own theme. From old-school candy to the sign garage, dad will definitely feel nostalgic as he transverses the store.

For dads who are avid readers, an entire half of the store is dedicated to the book outlet, which features a huge library of local authors in addition to all your favorite genres and a large Christian book section.

If you want to strike dad with nostalgia, you’ll definitely want to take him by the General Store this Father’s Day.

4. Take Dad Golfing for Father’s Day

If your dad’s idea of a perfect day is out on the golf course, you’ll find an awesome selection of golf courses here in Pigeon Forge and in the surrounding areas. The mountainous landscape and beautiful weather make Pigeon Forge an amazing golf destination.

Found in the foothills of the Great Smoky Mountains, the Sevierville Golf Club offers two 18-hole championship courses to its visitors. This isn’t the golf course you’re used to, as dad will be playing with mountains in the distance, beside a rushing river, and lush rolling hills. Amenities include an extensive practice facility with grass trees and expansive putting green as well as a chipping area. Other amenities include bag storage, meeting places inside and outside, men’s and ladies’ locker rooms with showers, club rental, and golf lessons with a PGA Golf Professional!
