Experience the winter wonderland of lights this holiday season! With more than 5 million lights, Pigeon Forge will be covered with whimsical scenes and decorations. Winterfest will run through the 17th of February. This winter spectacular has become one the most anticipated events of each year! To make your experience even better, you can follow a driving tour offered by the city of Pigeon Forge. Hot all the hot spots where you can find the best lights in town!

    

  1. Ober Gatlinburg

Explore all the winter adventures and activities at Ober Gatlinburg! Ober is the ultimate destination for skiing and snowboarding in the Smokies. The slopes at Ober will tentatively be open during the holiday season and continue throughout winter. They offer 10 different ski and snowboard trails at the park with varying levels of difficulty. If you’re new to the snow sport, Ober offers lessons from expert skiers and snowboarders to help you out. If riding down the mountain isn’t your thing, try snow tubing! Slide down their man-made hills in inner tubes for some thrilling fun!

Ober Gatlinburg is perfect for beginnings to experts and everyone in between! You can also head inside to check out the plethora of shops, food court, and ice skating rink!

 

  1. Christmas Dinner Shows

It’s finally time to start celebrating the holidays here in the Smoky Mountains! One attraction we always look forward to is the start of Christmas themed dinner shows. Pirates Voyage Diner & Show runs through January 4th.

DOLLY PARTON’S STAMPEDE will run their Christmas season through January 4th. Snow falls softly as the breathtaking scenes fill you with tidings of good cheer. The Stampede arena is magically transformed into a true fantasyland complete with twinkling lights, evergreens, poinsettias, old-fashioned holiday costumes and familiar holiday music.

 

  1. Ripley’s Aquarium Of The Smokies

The fish friends love winter too! Well, meeting you that is! Visiting Ripley’s Aquarium of The Smokies is always a must during any vacation. Also, Ripley’s Aquarium of The Smokies was named ‘Best Aquarium in North America” by 10Best Readers Choice Awards. With so many exhibits all in one place, you can play with penguins, sleep with sharks, and joke with the jellies! Once you’re done checking out the exhibits, the kids can enjoy the aquarium’s new gigantic indoor playground!

Pigeon Forge Snow is the only indoor snow facility in the entire United States that offers REAL snow all year long. It uses state of the art snowmaking technology to transform its 35,000 square ft. indoor facility into a winter wonderland, complete with up to 12 lanes of the fastest snow tubing regardless of the time of year. In addition to tubing, Pigeon Forge Snow offers other classic winter activities. There is a snowplay area where guests can build snowmen and make snow angels. The attraction also features a second level where parents can watch their children go tubing while enjoying a snack or a beverage.

From now through December 31st, your family can experience the christmas cheer and magic that surrounds the Titanic Museum Attraction. The ship will be aglow and draped in garland, trimmings, lights, and wreaths of course. During this special time year you can imagine what the ship would’ve looked like 104 years ago during a Christmas voyage.

With the bare trees of winter, you have a much greater chance of seeing some wildlife!

After the shows you can head to Ole Smoky Moonshine for free tastings and seeing what seasonal flavors are available! With the chilly temperatures outside, some moonshine will warm you right up!
