Brenda Lee has achieved success in rockabilly, pop and country music. She had 47 USchart hits during the 1960s, and is ranked fourth in that decade surpassed onlyby Elvis Presley, the Beatles and Ray Charles. She is perhaps best known forher 1960 hit “I’m Sorry”, and 1958’s “Rockin’ Around the Christmas Tree”, aUnited States holiday standard for more than 50 years. At 4 ft 9 inches tall,she received the nickname Little Miss Dynamite in 1957 after recording the song“Dynamite” and was one of the earliest pop stars to have a major contemporary internationalfollowing. She is a member of the Rock and Roll, Country Music and RockabillyHalls of Fame. She is also a Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award recipient. Someof Brenda’s other hits include “Break It To Me Gently”, “I Want To Be Wanted”,and “Too Many Rivers”.Jimmy Fortune toured, sang and performed with the legendaryStatler Brothers for 21 years. He wrote the group’s second No. 1 hit,“Elizabeth,” and followed that with two more No. 1 hits–“My Only Love” and “TooMuch On My Heart”. Fortune also wrote the top-10 hit “Forever” and co-wrote thetop-10 hit “More Than a Name on the Wall”. Jimmy and The Statler Brothers wereinducted into the GMA (Gospel Music Association) Hall of Fame on October 29,2007, and inducted into the CMA (Country Music Association) Hall of Fame onJune 29, 2008. After the Statler Brothers retired, Jimmy seized the opportunityto launch a solo career to share new music with his fans.
